Most of you know our story already but for those of you who don't we decided to let you in on our beginning...
We met at Enloe Medical Center where we both work and after a few witty interactions and a couple of memorable dates we found ourselves inseparable. After a year and ten months he decided to pop the question. We were in San Diego for New Year's and on our last day there we went to Coronado Island. In spite of the unfriendly weather we walked around for a while and then went ice skating at Hotel Del Coronado. For fear that we would get caught walking in the storm that we could see just off the coast we went to get changed and headed to the restaurant at the hotel. Dinner was phenomenal. Once we got back in the car Gustavo handed me his phone which had a list of directions on it and told me not to look up. So I directed him to the middle of who knows where and he instructed me to get out of the car and close my eyes. After leading me blindly to the spot he had chosen he stepped behind me asked "Are you ready?" "Yes!!!" I replied. He then instructed me to open my eyes and there before me was the gorgeous sight of the San Diego Bay skyline. I was speechless. Before I could respond out of no where I heard him say "Baby, will you marry me?" I spun to my right to see the man of my dreams on bended knee with a open box and a big shiny ring. |
We are getting married at Butte Creek Country Club in Chico, CA. The ceremony will be held in doors on Saturday August 6, 2011 at 5 PM. For those of you who are traveling in from out of town there are several options for places to stay. Oxford Suites, Courtyard by Marriott, and Holiday Inn are the places we would recommend. |
